This is our favorite Model Railroad shop. It's located in Concord, CA. On any given weekend, you just might find one or more of the Black Diamond Lines' members in here purchasing items or just shooting the breeze with Joan (the owner) and other Model Railroad enthusiasts.

Trainorders hosts a number of discussion boards. From Amtrak to Western Railroads and Eastern to International. It even has discussion boards for Model Railroading and rail fan trips. On the home page is a link to the Tehachepi and Dunsmir web cams. (This is now a "pay-to-post" site. You can still read the posts for free, but to post you must buy a membership.)

This is a real nice railroad related
web site. There is a page that contains numerous rail cams at Fullerton
Amtrak Station. This site also includes a discussion board and links
to other model railroad clubs and businesses's.

The Alameda County Central Railroad Society is another model railroad club. Check them out.

This is a brand new web site you've
been seeing in Trains, MRR, and other various railroad publications.
It includes a section for model railroaders. They also have great live
on line help.

The Golden State Model Railroad Museum (GSMRM) consists of 10,000 square feet of O, HO and N scale model railroading. Inside the Museum, you will find three large model railroads, constructed and operated by the East Bay Model Engineers Society (EBMES). The general public is invited to visit the museum. Frequent visitors and supporters may wish to join the Museum. Those interested in constructing and operating the model railroads should consider joining the East Bay Model Engineers Society.

first true High Speed trains, Acela
Express. These trains are now running between Boston and Washington
D.C. allowing passengers to take one train and reduce travel time between
the Northeast cities. There you can view their route as well as the
routes of the Acela
Regional and Acela Commuter.

addicts/ railfans. This site is about computer railroad games such as
Railroad Tycoon II. There is a discussion board for various games and
new maps for RTII and RTII TSC (The Second Century) Gold Edition.
Dave's Train site offers quality postwar and prewar Lionel trains & accessories, plus
vintage tinplate trains from the former Soviet Union. Check it out if
you are into Lionel trains.
